Content Guidelines
LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED. This is a draft that describes how Huddle works today. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and is not yet in force.
Version 0.3 · Not yet in effect · Updated 2026-10-29
These rules apply to everything people add to Huddle: packs, questions, answers, media, branding and team names.
Not allowed
- Hate, harassment, threats or targeting of people or groups.
- Sexual content involving minors, or sexually explicit material.
- Graphic violence or content that promotes self-harm, or illegal acts.
- Content that exposes private information or impersonates someone.
- Spam, scams, malware or misleading content, including fake facts presented as true.
- Content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Anything that breaks the law where it is hosted or played.
Creators
- You are responsible for the content you create, import or publish.
- Have the rights. Only add text, images and audio you made, that are licensed for this use, or that you have permission to use. State the source and rights, and add alt text.
- Check the facts. Review every answer, especially AI-generated and current-events questions.
- Set the right audience. Don't mark suggestive or mature content as family friendly. Huddle assigns each pack a rating (see below); you can ask for a higher one but not a lower one.
- Don't copy. Don't republish another creator's or a broadcaster's questions, or minimally edited copies of other packs.
- Follow marketplace rules if selling is offered later. Packs for sale will have a higher bar than private ones.
Huddle ratings
Every pack gets a Huddle rating: All Ages, 10+, 13+ or 17+, plus content labels such as strong language or alcohol references. Ratings are Huddle's own labels. They are not ESRB, PEGI or any government rating, and Huddle doesn't verify anyone's age.
- A rating covers the whole pack: it is the highest of any question in it. Changing a pack means it is checked again.
- Ratings are set by an automated check, and a person reviews anything sensitive or uncertain. You can appeal a rating with a reason.
- Venues choose the highest rating they will host. A pack above a venue's limit, or not yet approved, may be hidden from that venue or refused when a game starts.
- Some content is not allowed at any rating (see Not allowed). A pack that contains it can't be published, and one already published is blocked from starting.
Prizes and sponsors
Prize names, descriptions, images, sponsor names and logos follow these same rules. Only use images and logos you have permission to use, and only name a sponsor that has agreed. Don't offer or describe prizes that are illegal where you are, or that you can't provide.
AI-generated content
AI doesn't guarantee originality or accuracy. You must review it, and it follows these same rules.
Team names and players
Names are filtered, but filters aren't perfect. Hosts can rename or remove teams. Don't use names that are offensive, hateful or impersonate others.
What happens when something is wrong
Anyone can report a question. We may review, hold, de-list, suspend or remove content, restrict a creator's ability to publish, and suspend or end accounts. Serious reports (legal, safety or rights) can suspend a pack for everyone while it's reviewed. Publishing doesn't mean Huddle has approved a pack.
Pack Check
Pack Check helps find problems. It isn't legal approval and doesn't clear rights.
