Displays and TV setup

Any device with a modern web browser can be a Huddle display: a smart TV, a streaming stick, or a laptop on HDMI.
Pair a display
A screen is connected when its paired browser is open and communicating with Huddle. Running games and Live channels do not count as extra screens, and phones-only play needs no TV. On Organization → Overview, expand Screen connection details to see which paired screens are online, offline or not opened yet. Closed screens can take up to 45 seconds to appear offline; reload the overview for the latest count.
- Open Organization → Settings → Displays → Add display.
- Name it (for example "Bar TV").
- On the TV's browser, open the display link or scan its QR code.
- The TV shows "Ready when you are".
When you host, pick that display. A busy display asks before it switches games. Unlimited displays can be paired; each shows its status and what it's playing.
No TV?
Choose Phones only. Every phone shows the full game. Audio clues play on the host's device.
Play modes
| Mode | Use it when |
|---|---|
| TV (default) | Everyone can see a TV. Phones show only answer buttons |
| TV + phones | Some seats can't see the TV. Phones also show the question |
| Phones only | No shared screen |
Before you start
Run Room check: TV, player Wi-Fi, sound, and that host controls are on your device.
